Is it a bad idea going on a party boat fishing with all this extreme cold weather?

Will this cold shut down the tog bite?

No, they will hit ok through Dec with some days better than others, and actually will hit sporadically all winter long most years, but typically they are more active and bite a lot better in say Sept/October than they do in Dec/Jan. Most likely thats the reason the season starts in mid Nov, when the fish start becoming less active..

Same with Black Sea Bass.. That season fully opens around the time the majority of the fish are heading off shore and out of reach for most fishermen.... bob

What Bob said!!

You should still have a good chance at Stripers and Blackfish from any of the party boats sailing for them... Dress warm and go for it!!

Most boats that sail this time of year have heat so if you get cold you can always go in the cabin and warm up.

You should also check their schedules since many boats that run on Thanksgiving adjust their schedule to get you back home in time for dinner.
