Going to be interesting to see if this latest storm and all the run off is going to effect togging this weekend... Thinking it might makes sense to fish deeper then we have been... Thoughts??

Personally, I tend to think that it would affect the areas further to the north, that are closer to the big tidal rivers, and all the icy run off from thousands and thousand of storm drains.. The mid Hudson Valley got close to a foot of snow, and a lot finds its way into the river, then into the upper and lower bay and I always felt that muddy freezing snow run off doesn't help the bite much when you can see the Verrazzano just a few miles away ..
If i were going in the next few days, I would go out of SRI or MI rather than out of AH... bob

How about toggin in the snow? I recall not to long ago we did a PUOSU tourny and the O.E. in a near blizzard. Now that was a day to remember! Mikey the mate shoveling snow off the deck and spreading rock salt, all in about gale force winds with a sporty 5 to 6 foot heave NOW THAT'S TOGGIN!

meh.. back in pre history, toggin weather was a sunny mid May or late september day, with a gentle westerly breeze, and maybe just a light sweatshirt.. its only since about the early/ mid 90's that anyone fished much for them in winter.. that all started when the winter whiting/Ling fishery collapsed. They bite a lot more readily in 60 degree water than they do in 40 degree water..Never been much on "snowshoe toggin" myself, but these days its the only game in town in winter...bob

I’d stay away from the path of the river bed and where they lead to.

Give it a couple of tide changes and the fish will adjust like they always do. Storm and run off from the snow will only lasts so long this time of year.
