This season has been I'm sure a challenge for any charter boat Captain. One day after another of either high winds rough surf or just a nasty rainy day. I personally have lost more charters than being able to get out. Just this last weekend a person chartered me from N.Carolina to fish both Friday and Saturday he had plans to meet his son and fish the two days. It's not just the charter Captains but the people that have made long turn plans that have seen many a cancellations. I'm sure it hasn't been a good year for anyone that has been cancelling more trips than they have taken.
Got out today but it was pure mayhem there were enough boats out there to start another navel fleet. Bait was thick but just to many boats breaking it up to make the rewards few. I only bagged one Striper and then did a half day of Black fishing. A lot to do in one day but the charter was happy to get a little of everything. Tomorrow I have another Striper charter I'm sure we will do a lot better with a lot less people on the water. I'm in the water till the end of this month. Hoping to get in as many days as possible?
