Beast Bass on Fly Rod

SOLID 45" bass caught in open water off Spring Lake a few days ago. Matt worked a bunker school with a sinking line and Deceiver fly on his Fish Poison 9-weight fly rod when this fish bit. Super capable rod in expert hands means big fish.

Congrats to him. That was something I tried to acomplish a number of years back. 3 years in a row with trips to Cape Cod yielded only 5 to 10 pounders but no beasts.

That's an awesome catch in itself but on a fly rod.......wow! Congrats to the angler, some skills there.
