Striped bass fishing was tough today, that 40 mile an hour plus wind yesterday seemed to scatter everything , and 300 boats fishing in the same area didn’t do it much good at all. So I opted to stand away from the wheel ( Smart move on my part ) and let my brand new captain who is my first mate Alex Lebkes run the show. It was a tough day, Alex got on the Bunkers as well as anybody could , and learned how to deal with a tough day. He never got flustered , and manage to take a 45 pounder , which I feel was excellent for his first go at it. I have known Alex since he is eight years old , and His grandfather former captain Ron Wingo 45+ years, who gave Alex his love for fishing. Alex shows the potential of being a fabulous Captain as well as a really nice guy . He will be running the boat for me in relief ,and some evenings next year along with working the deck. Nice job Captain Alex ! . It looks like Wednesday is your next day of opportunity call for information in reservations
