Lots of good charter boats down there and very competitive so you should have no problem booking something. I’ve fished will El Buster there and we had 3 really good trips for Striped Marlin.
One thing you do however need to make clear to any boat you fish on down there is you want to release the Marlin. If not they’ll try and keep it.
Not sure where you’re staying but most places down there don’t tell you it’s not safe to swim in the ocean...Be really careful, the week I was down there 2 people from a neighboring hotel and 1 at ours drown.

I fished with the Pieces fleet twice and the El Buster once, all trips were for marlin. All the trips were good times. The captain and mates on all three trips were great and we had a blast with them. I felt they both did all they could do catch fish. Total of three landed marlin (all released) & (a couple fought and lost marlin) avg marlin around 150 lbs--also caught some tuna(right from the boat to the restaurants at the marina when we docked-- does not get fresher than that--they cooked the tuna a few different ways as well as sushi) and caught some bonita.
