1/2 DAY FLUKE REPORT

It was a tough week, last week, with all the rain and wind. We were not able to fish until Saturday. By Saturday, the sea had mostly calmed down but the water was still churned up and dirty. We caught a few fluke on every trip from Saturday through Sunday but the fishing was slow. We did catch some nice se bass, which would have helped --unfortunately, regulations say we cannot retain them now. It's a shame that fisheries authorities admit that the bio-mass of sea bass has been rebuilt to 310% --yet they continue to cut our quota.

Our night trips did not go this week, due to the weather.

The weather looks poor for tomorrow, so the Gambler will stay dockside as our crew gets the boat ready for our Canyon tuna trips. The Gambler will have several trips per week, heading out to the blue waters. There is still room on some of our trips. Check here (http://www.gamblerfishing.net/offshoretrips.php) for details and availability.

INSHORE EXOTICS REPORT

The Gambler just returned from our exotics trip. We fished offshore about 25 miles. We had a mix catch today consisting of mahi-mahi, albacore, blues and mackerel. We had some nice mahi up to 8lbs and saw a few other big mahi swimming around. Charlie did well using an epoxy jig to catch his fish.

We are sold out on the rest of the exotics trips for this year but for the people itching to get out there for inshore pelagics we are doing a very similar trip on Sunday Sept 23 from 7:30AM-2:30 PM. We will be 3/4 day fishing for bonita, albacore and blues. No reservation is needed for this trip, but they can be made online. The fare is $60 for an adult, $55 for seniors and $35 for a child.
