Any word on if fishing will be affected this weekend due to high extremely high tides due to the hurricane. With the fluke season coming to an end soon would like to get out there and give it a shot. Thanks

The bay was dead before the storm I can’t see it being any better after this storm.. stock up on beer and wait for the bass to roll in

Thanks for the advice. But with sunny skies and temps in the low 80's tomorrow I have to give it a shot!

I have no personal experience in this area but while the storm chases some fluke offshore it sends some retreating to the back bays. Just something I have heard.

Schoolie bass and blues blowing up on peanuts in the afternoon/evening hours. Shads, poppers and plugs are all working fine. The run has begun!!!! Don't forget your bonus tag is available now online.

What a beautiful day on the water and the fish cooperated. Hit a few late season hot spots and caught some nice Fluke and cocktail blues. There where Sturgeon jumping all over the place off of Keansburg. What a sight. It wasn't lights out fishing but I am glad we went! You gotta be in it to win it! The Fluke season by no means is over. We have one week left..catch em up! Tight lines!

So true. If a storm blows in significantly colder water, the temperature inversion can trap the fluke in a back bay, lagoon. I am sure that some of us remember a couple of years ago when some very nice fluke were bunched up all the way in the back of the Raritan Bay. This was the result of some nasty south winds, which blew cold water across the mouth of the bay. Also there were loads of peanuts in the back.

Every once in a while, the fish gods toss us a combination of factors that add up to more fish in the box.

NICE!..We have all winter to lay on the couch to drink and eat. Now is the time to get out there and enjoy the weather and hopefully catch some fish! Keep the reports coming!
