This storm brings back some really awful memories of what we as a fishing community were going through leading up to Sandy. It looks as if it has the potential of being as bad, if not worse since they're also predicting a lot of rain.
Really feeling for the people in the path of this storm, lets keep them in our thoughts and prayers.

Got a friend on the head of the Pamlico river in Washington, N.C.. He's on a higher point of land---can only hope it's enough....It sounds like it's gonna be as bad or worse than Sandy...a slow mover with maybe 20" rain inland...

Unfortunately I think what Sandy did to New Jersey, Florence will do to North Carolina. I think about that slate grey water that lasted for weeks after Sandy hit. A lot of inland tribs and such around NC where fish go to spawn, as if we don't have enough problems already. Hope everyone come through okay down there.

Hopefully that don't get the storm surge they are predicting. I think Sandy had a 12', this one they are predicting around 9'. God keep everyone safe.

Flooding of all the hog farms will create a toxic flood into all the rivers

I see on the news people putting their boats on land at the marina, that worked well when Sandy hit.

my god when will people learn...taking your boat out but leaving it near the water that is going to rise isn't going to help...and will probably be worse!
Man these hurricanes are insane events...
