Tony, Al, Cody and I fished the 38th MRMTC offshore open. There was a lot of life with Dolphin and whales everywhere but also tons of boat traffic. When we pulled away from the fleet and found our own pod Tony got our first tuna with a popper. We moved to a different area looking for more life with no luck. Decided to go back and chunk the night where we popped the first tuna earlier. The night was a bit sporty anchored in 6-7 on a 32 CC is not always fun, but messed with mahi and 9 tiger sharks that night. The next morning with boat traffic gone and all the life there it paid off. We went back on the troll and went 2 for 3 on YFT. Seas flatten out and a 40 knot cruise back to the scales. Held the daily for a short while till another boat knocked us out by 8lbs just before scales closed for the day. Another great trip for the log book!

Sounds like a great day. What boat(mfgr & power) were you on doing a 40 knot cruise? Sounds sweet
