Beautiful day on the water. Left SRI at 0700 and turned left. Tons of "top life" on the ride, bunker, blues, some spanish macks all jumping around. Saw 2 Whales etc etc but we were Fluking so just some blue planet stuff to appreciate.

Hit a few "normal spots" in 64 to 45' but not much doing other than shorts and robins. Henry took a steam and found us the right bites in 55 or so. We boxed up a few decent fish including fluke, seabass and blues over the next couple of hours. For me Pink Shine gulp on a white 3 oz BT on bottom with a plain Gami hook tipped with white glo gulp on top was the ticket. And ALL had lots o meat on them.
Great crew and Larry was there too::p

Thanks Henry

Great photo Dave - it was the one thing today I didn't hack up.

Today's spot-on comment "those new Red Salmon Gulp! Grubs are skate bait" :p

Unlike the more handsome Zagorski bro, I have yet to catch an NJ keeper since Massachusetts  To make matters worse my favorite reel started grinding yesterday. I was surprised Dales let me use his camera to shoot his three keepers. Then again it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity :p

Its all good Larry you get your share during the season maybe we can convince Henry to fish in 300 ft so you can have your New England mojo back.
quote of the day. "how did the net get on the port (Larry )side of the boat, those guys dont need it" :p

I put it on that side because Larry and Bobby were always available. Fun day with a motley crew.

I actually thought the best quote of the day was Larry your jig looks like 2 hubcaps. I didn't think a fish could fit it in its mouth. Fortunately a rock ate it.

Finally had a little time off and great to get out without needing to get back for business.

Got out again this morning , no drift many skates and sea bass. Ended the morning with a limit of sea bass, Half dozen small bluefish and 2 no measure keepers.
