Here are photos of just some of them. My Father's Day gift was a 23 1/4-inch largemouth caught from shore at Merrill & released. I never weighed it. Nice and fat. The photo doesn't quite do it justice, but I'm saving the better for possible magazine use. Caught others over three I didn't include photos of, including a smallmouth that hit a topwater at sunrise. Almost 19 inches. It's been good fishing with my son. Other than one outing with a friend, he's been my only partner this summer. Goes back to BU early Sept.

Nice fish

I wish they would let small boats/yaks on that pond.

Nice! The shore fishing has become limited since the water level rose.

It would be interesting to use the graph. Interesting rock structures in the depths might hold the other bass.

You need to drop that 110 pound canoe in the Raritan river !! Nice bass !

Thanks you guys!

Andy, I was thinking of using the Great Canadian for the Raritan someday. It is only 13 feet, but sure paddles nicely....just a little tippy, but it is a classic canoe no longer made.

My 17 ft. Indian fiberglass is old, a battle wagon. This canoe weighs in at 73 pounds. I think you said yours was quite heavy. Also mine is a flat bottom, VERY stable.

If you and your son can nail them on the NB you should definitely try the main stem. It's a better float as there is less skinny water you need to hassle through your canoe. I think the last time we floated the main stem we didnt have to get out once for shallow water.

My Old Town squareback is heavy. It will take a 4 hsp outboard. Stably built of course, but I don't think I need that on a river unless it's the Delaware, not that I wouldn't use it on the Raritan, if I didn't see the float as going from a point upstream to down.
