So I know I'm new to the site, but was wondering if anyone goes out for mahi on their personal boat and if so would they be willing to take a passenger? The said passenger would put money tords gas and knows how to man the deck. If it's too late in season then I'm a fool but had to ask. PM me and maybe we can work something out.
Thanks

The leader of this site Gerry z is a mahi master try & hook up with him. If not best bet be jumping on a 6pack & go out hopping

Be careful how you word things. It is illegal to offer money unless the captain has a six pack license or better. just a friendly word. you never know who may be watching.

Better to be safe than sorry, but he did offer to chip in for exspenses in the form of gas. Chipping in for gas and bait on a private boat is fine.

Your best bet is to get some like minded guys here and charter one of our sponsors. The reason I say a charter is because then you'll be able to let your captain know what specifically you want to fish for... If you go on an open boat with others you're going to fish with what the boat is fishing for and most will not be targeting Mahi, it will be a bycatch....

The Gambler has "inshore Exotic" trips (which definitely targets mahi) starting next month. Unfortunately, all 4 trips are "sold out" this year---they fill fast. Something to remember for next year. Hope you're successful in your quest..catch 'em up & let us know how you did...
