I’d like to thank Capt Jimmy the Greek of On Time Charters out of Yarmouth Mass for putting me on my PB fluke. Also Anthony D for the invite and Scott M. Drove up early Wednesday afternoon in miserable Connecticut traffic had a bite to eat and hit the hay. Met all th guys at the boat at 530 and set off to the grounds. First drop it’s was game on unfortunately I busted off a complete master beast. I thought I had dropped it during one of its violent head shakes but came to find that the line gave out right next to the knot. Quite the heart breaker. Mean while Anthony quietly reeling up a complete slob at 12.7# and TOM grabbing one at 11.4 I think. While Capt Jimmy is putting on a clinic with 4 fish if his own over 10# . Before you get the wrong idea about this . We purposely on brought 4 people total so the Capt could fish with us. It was our decision with the hope he too could have a great day. I believe we helped accomplish that. Well back to me now. After losing that heart beaker I got back in the game and about 30 minutes later hooked in to another great fish. Many violent head shakes and the pole lopped over, reeling very slow and praying it would make it to the net and there was Scott waiting with a perfect scope. Capt Jimmy said look at that one and put it on the scale. Pic tell the rest. Truly a day to remember total count 7 fish easily all over 10# plus a boat limit if 25 great quality fish. We continued to fish C&R to see if we could muster up 1 or 2 more DDs but it wasn’t to be. Released several more quality fish to 8-9# during that time. So just an unbelievable day of fishing.126855

That was one beast of a fish, Joe. Was great to see you rebound in that way after the failed-knot debacle!
I am proud to have been part of this amazing adventure and beyond relieved to not have found you in my bed when I got to my hotel room 😂

Congrats on a great trip! Please send some of those doormats south into NJ waters. Thanks.
Speaking of which: when the season ends in the fall, do fluke head east into deeper waters of the Atlantic, or south into warmer waters?

When the colder weather comes around the Fluke up north will funnel out of the bays and be in the deeper ocean channels like Sandy Hook and Ambrose working their way offshore to their wintering grounds. This is a great time of year since they stick to the channels and makes them easier to target. Once that's over you continue to look deeper and deeper until it's time to switch over to Blackfishing and Stripers :D

That was good Steve... The sun has not wilted your sense of humor. Congrats on the rug Joe. Got me thinkin of trailering up there for a weekend. Any ramps around Yarmouth? How far of a run to the grounds?

Thought of doing the same with my rig but after looking at all the variables I won’t do it.
It’s a 21 mile run from Hyannis to Nantucket light and another 20 or so to various spots on the shoals.
After having to trailer up and back on 95, tolls, gas etc etc much easier to charter. Just my .02.

Seen it before from you on BIG fish here and no surprise it happened up there.
Congrats and well deserved.
Sure hope the buck tail head, feathers, hook, net frame, bait (soft or hard) , fish teeth, a quarter that fell out of your pocket (never mind I mean a penny) , your elf shoe bells, hat propeller, mountain dew cap, ever touched the GEL COAT during your PB adventure

The charter we were on trailers to South Yarmouth . Bass River Beach and Boat access. Parking for trucks and trailers there. I’d say it’s about 36-40 miles boat ride.
