We definitely had one of our best days of bottom fishing this year, it was our pleasure to take out the Martin family from Pinegrove PA. We habe a catch of jumbo porgies some fish up to 3 pounds but , most were much bigger than normal, we had a full boat limit of seabass most of which were up over 2 pounds some of them were between 3 1/2 and 4 pounds . When they only let you keep two you take the best ones . Ryan Martin boated a black drum fish, on one of my small porgy rods with a smaller than 1.0 porgy hook , Ryan did an excellent job, and with a little help from me backing the boat down on the fish, it took us 15 minutes before we slid fish through the tuna door . Ryan being a sportsman settles for a nice picture of the fish , and we released a fish unharmed. We also have a major catch Triggerfish, we are still catching them as I write this report , and we have close to 40 of them, in the fish box , some of these fish are close to 5 pounds , Most of them being 2 1/2 to 3 pounds. The Martin family goes home with one hell of a catch of fish. We have an open boat tomorrow Tuesday, July 31, and through the week call for information and reservations
