Just looked at the Gambler tuna schedule...seems everyone is waiting for October to book their trip(s)...the old Gambler started the first Tuesday after Labor Day...had some truly epic(hate that overused descriptive)Sept. trips---how about 106 tuna, headed in @ 7AM...other first trips produced 70-90 tunes. Yea, I know, that was before the "regs" and fish were 40-50#. I, for one, can't wait for that first trip......Anybody else???

Playing the wait and see game. Too many fishless trips the last few years. Bite way off.

Yeah I know it’s fishing and can break out at any time but at this point I’m playing the “show me first” game.

Did a trolling overnight trip last week. Boat caught 7 -20-30 lb fish. 4 days later 20 upto 150 lb. so in consistent. Girl friend wanted to go on a cruise. So we did 3 this year. Tuna going to have to wait till 2019. Good luck catch them up

Here is a reason why people may not book until later:

• All trips are by reservation and are Non-refundable. Full payment must be received in advance.

Why not go when they’re biting? Like now

Sept has always been my go to. I prefer to go then compared to now, as many of the tuna now are tiny. The last couple years I have concentrated on bluefin fishing in Cape Cod, as it has been more consistent and more successful
