My trailer came with an old electric power winch which finally crapped out on me. I am looking to replace with a hand crank- any suggestions? I have a 21 ft CC boat.
Any advice would be appreciated- looking to order so I can install this weekend. Thanks

The wench is rated on pulling power- meaning bigger drum and longer stronger handle for cranking leverage.
A 21 foot fiberglass boat with fuel, O/B's, etc. could need at least 2000- 3000 lbs. That's a rough guess.

I agree.. I was thinking of something in the 2500 class. do you recommend any wench in particular?

I just got this one https://www.westmarine.com/buy/horizon-global--f2-manual-trailer-winches--P010305050?recordNum=8 it's a little expensive but works great. I have a 85 247 Albemarle and it pulls it on the trailer with no problem. I got the 3200 lbs. 2 speed winch.

I have that same winch. Works just great for my 25 ft walk around
