Kayak Navesink Fuke 6/14

Fished for Fluke via kayak in the Navesink Thursday morning. Conditions were tough but fishable early but then deteriorated quickly. It was very breezy with wind against the tide. I power drifted with the Wonder Rig with Killies and picked at shorts, around six from 10” to 15”. My buddies in a tandem kayak got 1 keeper at 18.5” plus about 6 shorts. The keeper was caught on a high low rig with Killies.

It went from breezy to brutal later in the morning and we had to call it a day.

Anyone get out on the river today? Gonna hit it tomorrow out of highlands. Went two weeks ago and it was solid fishing. How long does the navesink stay hot until?
