We had some keepers first thing this morning with the advantage of sailing early the we had to fight wind against the tide for the out going tide. When we finally got the drift we banged away at the keepers and shorts with some catching their limit plus. Juan Cortz from Bayonne had a nice 35 + inch fluke take the pool. Itwas thin and only weighted 5 1/2 pounds. He also had a limit.
We are not going to sail tomorrow. They call for stronger east winds and the ebb tide will be later which means there will be no drift for most of the day. We could catch a few fish in the bay but you will do much better later in the week.
Next trip Tuesday at 7:00 AM first boat out and galley open
Big pool over $1100
Thanks Captain George Angler
