I'm on the hunt for a new rod to pair up with my maxel 25 hybrid. I'm considering the Jigging Worlds Nexus Rod. Anyone have any experience with it and what are your thoughts? Also what model and what did you fish for with it?

I use the nexus heavy for fluke and sea bass so far. It's my first acid wrap rod. I love the rod it can handle nice fish and the pitch of the rod stays the same. I'm not familiar with other high end rods. Took it to new york in May and limited out first day with the rod. Took it sea bass fishing in 80ft of water no problem.
The only negative is if you like a wide fore grip this rods grip diameter is very thin so I like to tuck it under my arm.pit or use to hands to jig it.
But im.going to try black hole charter special 6'8" rod next. But I love this rod 2 people I fish with on different boats went to jigging world this week 2 get this rod.

Are you fishing the 7ft or the 7'6ft model? Do you think your rod has enough back bone for strippers, blues and blackfish as well? Thanks for the reply.

Go with the 7ft Heavy and u wont regret it. Will easily handle anything onshore that we fish for in NJ. We have been using the 7'6" Heavy up north dragging heavy lead with ease. Hard rod to beat for under $150!
