Fluke season 2018 is upon us, at least in one half of the bay. My cousin and I did a fun little shore session, he used Gulp and I used Keitech...just a preliminary test in my quest to find a Gulp alternative!

Very encouraging on Fluke this early. Always nice to see weakies.
Video was a pleasure to watch as well
Best of luck in 2018 but looks like you are already there.
Great job catching and releasing

Thanks Dale!
I agree, the reports are very encouraging this early in the season all over the bay. Reminds me of 2016, though I do hope the main body of fluke don't dive into the channel early and commit mass suicide this year lol...2016 was a slaughter from may-early July.

Thanks for watching Larry!
As far as I know it's like any infused scent in plastic...since it's oil-based, it doesn't disperse in water like gulp. Once a fish eats it, they might hold onto it just as long as gulp, but it doesn't have the same drawing power.
The action on those easy shiners though, it's something else. The tail kicks at any speed, and rolls the body too, even in 35F water temp, which is not the case with the vast majority of soft plastics. The body is denser on the bottom than the top, so even rigged weightless the baits swim true...and you can't blow it out on a jighead, no matter how fast you reel. Remarkable the engineering that went into these baits!
