Friday Report 5/6

[Good Times]

Sorry for late report...Had to work for the fish Friday, plus it was the first time on the boat so that didn't help. Stayed away from all the boats and drifted several different sports at around 10feet of water. We hooked up on some nice keepers. Landed fish on bunker, jigs and troll. Great day on the water. At dock while filleting the fish I managed to slice off the tip of my middle finger right down to the bone! Never a doll moment. I'm not gonna post pics of the finger as I'm sure some of you might not hold down your meals! lol.

Congrats on the fish, sorry to hear about your finger. I've seen some deep cuts so I have a pair of coated cut resistant gloves I use while filleting. The only trouble is I can't seem to get the stink out of them. The good part is they're cheap, throw them out at the end of each season.

rwp2101 you are 100% right. This is the fourth time in my life I seen my finger bones from various different activities. It's time I start investing in all types of gloves!

Friday was 5/4, just saying.

After filleting I throw my glove in the boat soap bucket full of soap. Leave it in while you scrub down the boat and remember to take it out before dumping lol. Keeps the glove clean and flexible for the next trip.
