Been doing a decent amt of beach fishing the last 3-4 wks. Was insane before the last big storm. Hit or miss since then. Just this past Friday night I hooked into a decent weakfish about 5 lbs or so on a huge soft plastic. 1st one I've caught in over a decade! Likely longer...

Such gorgeous fish. Wish we had a population like the great south bay out on LI. Saw pics of others caught this past wknd. Maybe a cycle of fish are moving in! Here's the pic. Released right after the photo.

Congrats! And great job on the release - these are the breeders coming into spring spawn in the bays up and down the coast.

That is a gorgeous fish my man!!! It would be awesome if they made a comeback for sure. If I remember correctly guys were doing very well catching them this past September. :D
