Well hi all. Hope all are well.
Shrimping is in full swing down here and I got an invite to give it a shot. We anchored in the Indian river by the mosquito lagoon. Shrimping Is done at night during an out going tide, so we set up at 9pm and waited for the tide to run. We submerged our bright green “shrimping” lights just off the bottom and waited for the tastey crustaceans to show. And show they did. The limit is a 5 gallon pail per boat. We set out a frame net and my buddy handed me a dip net and said go to work. Well after a few hours of dipping and checking the frame net we had our bucketful! Got home at 3am with a boat load of medium and jumbo shrimp.
Very yummy. Fresh shrimp out the ying-yang:D
Looking forward to my next trip.
