So yesterday was my birthday so I had an excuse to stay away from the wife and daughter for more than a couple hours. Hit cheesequake because it is closest and allowed for best use of time. Got there at open and there were a good number of people. Landed one within the first 15 mins and thought it was going to be on. A hour and a half later, nothing. The place had filled up so there was no moving around. But then things turned on. For everyone! I switched from my lucky rainbow mepps to gold. Landed 3 more in the next hour. People on both side landed a couple too. A young boy had one hooked up and it ran under a log. I yell out to him and his dad to ask if i can help and I headed over in my waders. Got his line unsnagged with fish still attached! Turned out to be his first! Glad I could be a part of it and see the joy on his face. Next hour was dead but it was a good day. Fish were better looking than last year and all were released. Much brighter color in the gills of these beautiful bows. Hope everyone enjoyed the great weather. Tight lines boyss
