Eastmans is located in Seabrook NH - on MA border Exit 60 on 95 North

Instead Of Talking About Making PAST TENSE and I Remember When It is time To Create New History

Many already know it is no secret that we have The Best Whiting Fishing Within 1 Hour to 2 Hours from the dock

I am gonna post this on my board as well BUT will hold off posting there for at least a few weeks to get as many NJ Fisherman as possible

Last Septembers Trip Was 50 To 100 Whiting Per Angler Plus 15 to 25 Ling Per Angler & 2 to 5 Pollock Per Angler

This is a Special trip that will concentrate on Whiting with a by catch of Ling for 75% Of The Trip and the other 25% of the trip on the BEST Eating fish in the Atlantic Ocean according to many - HADDOCK

For those who have never fished in the Gulf Of Maine for Whiting it is way different that what you remember.

We do our best to avoid the OVER ABUNDANT Ling by fishing 4 to 8 feet off the bottom. Even doing that we catch Ling on the High Hooks

If you prefer Ling just keep your hooks 1 to 3 feet off the bottom. The Ling are Stacked up and the Whiting are usually above them. Most of the time we are anchored and on rare occasions we drift

Bill 90% of my trips are on Fridays but on occasion I do a Sunday trip. The Price is a lot less for Fridays so that is another reason I do it that way

Dont Forget Our Whiting Fishery is mainly a SUMMER fishery. Starts in June and goes thru October. Mostly deep water 250 to 350. We use multiple hooks and use Squid and Mackerel for Bait. Gulp will work also but seems better for Ling than Whiting

So far the early whiting trips have been good. With quality sized fish. I'll be fishing July 12 & 13, Aug 2 & 3 and Sept 6 & 7. Don't forget they have jumbo ling, last year on a couple trips we had to come up off the bottom 4-6 feet to get out of the ling and into the Whiting.

Most of us tie our own rigs 3-6 hooks, and yes I have had 6 fish on several times, most of the time you bring up 2-4 fish with no problem.

You wont be disappointed by the fishing, the boat or the crew!

Guys I know alot of you are VERY excited about this trip. If you dont mind a few tips

50 Lb Braid with 15 feet of 40 lb test Mono

Sinkers 10 to 14 Ounces

We will be fishing as shallow as 235 as deep as 325

Ling are a NUISANCE for us and we usually attempt to avoid them but there are so many sometimes that we get them as high up as 4 to 6 feet off the bottom. If you want Ling NO NEED for hooks below Sinker

My Suggestion 2 dropper loops 1 and 3 feet off the bottom then go up to 4 feet, 6 feet and 8 feet off the bottom for Whiting

Squid for bait and strip up some of your smaller Whiting

Haddock By Catch

If we crush the Whiting we will make a few Haddock drops

Marc-Is the food list up to date?

For those who've never been on a charter run by Marc, everyone brings something to put out for everyone. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, drinks, deserts, etc. Each person donates one dish and you shouldn't have to bring any other food or drink unless you're on a special diet. It's a lot easier than buying, preparing and packing enough food & drink for yourself for 12 hours. The boat has electricity, so you can bring something like chili in a croak pot. Post here ASAP as we can only plug in a few pots for heating food. There's also a microwave, if we can get to it.

Huge ling (that somehow don’t poop like NJ ling), big whiting, pollack, haddock, cusk,redfish and lots of squid too! Even some 6-8lb cod that were sent back

I've packed fish today for about 6 hours hours solid. The kind of thing in Jersey we will never see.....
I think I put about 100 + ling in the cooler myself s well as Whiting red fish Pollock and haddock. Coming up with dpuble and triple headers was common most of my day.
Friends neighbors and family, everyone had a nice bags of fish.

I got such a thrill watching all the New Jersey members faces reeling up Double and triple headers what seemed like all day long. The look on your faces lifting Whiting up to 5 lbs was 2nd to none

Marc put on a fantastic trip. Thanks for getting us on! Not only was the fishing awesome, as was our host, who was putting on a clinic on the pulpit, and somehow staying in tune with everyone, going above and beyond helping with anything and everything.

We met many new NJ friends and caught more fish than we have ever caught on any trip before. The Eastman crew was at their perennial best in customer service and putting us on the fish.

Would like to see the same trip next year, same weekend with the huge seafood festival.

Just finished packaging fish, brining fish for the smoker and overall cleaning up.

An absolutely, incredible trip!! My wife and I had a blast! This was nothing short of "Lights Out Fishing"! We actually stopped fishing for the two of us at one point and helped others fill their cooler. Between the two of us we caught over 80 fish, many triple headers, including huge whiting (to 5lbs.), ling, haddock, redfish and huge squid. Capt. Phil did an outstanding job keeping us on the fish all day. Mates were fantastic in helping with the tangles, fetching ice, answering stupid questions and cleaning fish hours after we had docked! Major, major, kudos to Marc for setting this up. We are still in awe of everything you do. Everything is captured, top to bottom. Marc actually walked around the boat and fed delicious marinated grilled chicken to us and then grilled EVERYONE aboard a cheeseburger!! For those of you wanted to re-live the NY Bight whiting fishing of the 70s and 80s, (Except bigger whiting) please hook up with Marc!

Again, Thanks so much for setting this up Marc, my wife and I appreciated all that you've done to make this trip successful.:)

Eastmans has a way of making me look good often

I equally had an amazing time. I know its a 5 to 7 hour drive depending where in NJ you come from. I am glad all of you had such a great time

I have been fishing with Eastmans many years and the Captains and mates are second to none

We have amazing fishing and as those reading this who were not there will realize it is worth the ride

Pleasure to finally have met you and some of the NJ Fishing.com folks as well as Marc. Great fishing with you and everyone....My wife had a terrific time as well. I am smoking a batch tonight that have been in the brine since yesterday afternoon (I followed Marc's recipe for the brine). I filleted, packaged and cleaned everything up by 2:00pm yesterday. Lots of good eats! Hope to see you again on another trip soon. Tight lines.

NJ Dave, Mr AC 1980, ALS Mako, Courbeco and made many new friends.

Huge ling (that somehow don’t poop like NJ ling), big whiting, pollack, haddock, cusk,redfish and lots of squid too! Even some 6-8lb cod that were sent back
