The boss and I got out today to check out my boat repair. It was only for two hours to check things out for a longer outing tomorrow. Not long after starting out with a water temp of 41 degrees, she had the first fish of the year on and after a nice fight a Brown that hit a blade, came to the net.(1st pic) Not long after that I caught a bigger one on a jerk bait. (2nd pic) Then I caught my first bass of the year and a nicer SM, both on a JB. The water temp only got as high as as 42 degrees and the wind was a bit gusty at times but it was good to get out since the last time was mid December. We are CR fishermen and all were returned gently back in the lake to be enjoyed another day.

Winter fishing at its finest. That’s a beautiful mixed bag for this time of year! Awesome combo of Browns and Bronze! Way to go man!!!! :D

That's a great first trip, and by the looks of the pictures, I don't see your boat filling up with water, so i guess your repairs worked...LOL

Here you go Scott and Rich196, unfortunately we didn't do much better on two counts. Didn't beat the numbers and still have a tiny leak.LOL
We got out today from noon to 4, the wind was gusting more than yesterday making boat control a pain and water temps were 41 to 43 degrees. Again my better half caught the first fish a 17" LM on a JB and minutes later I landed a 17" BT on a JB. After fighting with the wind she caught a very healthy 21" BT on a JB.(1st pic) about a half hour later I lost a nice LM at the boat on a JB about the size of the one in the next picture and a short time later I boated this LM that I caught on a hand tied hair jig. (2nd pic). Just for perspective I'm 6'-5" for future reference.

Given the times, it's always cool to see Browns being caught in NJ. Very nice.

Fat Brown! Slap a little flex seal in that tinny and your leak is gone. haha
