I'm hoping he found some clam, and with tonight's trip looking iffy for tomorrow, I'm hoping he has a bunch left over for us tomorrow night.

If you can get clam it will be well worth it.

Me, too. Keeping my fingers crossed with the weather. It looks like the wind is going to ramp up so maybe it will wait a day to do so.
I was out on the 20-21st and had a great trip. Limits of Seabass and Blues, Dozen Porgies and the pool fish.

Do many people bother with these trips after Jan 1? I see they are discounted from $250 to $150. With Sea Bass out are they even worth it for porgies and the miniscule chance you get into a cod or pollock? Throwing back knothead seabass would get frustrating for me.

I hear that. I think I'd have to go pirate mode.;)

They did have clams.
One drop fishing
Fishing was very good for porgies and seabass.
I did not have to measure any of the fish that I caught.
A very big seabass and a large monkfish won the pools.

All the dinner plate porgies you could want, large sea bass were tougher to get to past the porgies but they were there. :D

Chops! When you get your fill on porgies using a jig for the seabass usually fixes that problem.

I wanted to jig but it was tight in the back with wind chasing everybody off the bow.
