J2 Sea Bass

The trip says it sails at 3 AM.When do I need to get to the boat in order to get a good spot, as i kind of remember they don't board in any order. Or am I wrong? I booked online but got no assigned #. Anybody here know the lay of the boat and what works? Any help would be appreciated.

Early!!! I got there an hour before the trip on the 12th and the boat was almost railed.

You are talking about Jamaica II, then you would want to go very early. Last time, I got there 2 hours before departure and it was nearly full. Spots and seats are base on who is there first, rod on rail holder and bag on table seat.

In my observations there are 2 groups of guys. The ones that will get there before midnight and the ones that get there 1/2 hour before the boat leaves. If you want to pick a good spot get there early. Either way you will catch fish.
